Lumo Fit for college tennis staff

Fueling that shows up in the third set

Lumo Fit turns your dietitian's plan into every meal and every changeover bottle, on campus, courtside and on the road, then sets what players actually ate and drank next to the match, heat and sleep data your staff already collects.

    The gap

Doubles, then singles, in the afternoon sun, with no clock. What a player eats and drinks across a three-hour match is decided ninety seconds at a time, by the player, alone.

Lumo Fit gives every player one living fueling plan, carried into the courtside bag and lined up against what happens on court.

    A match, up to3 h
Ninety seconds to drink and eat, as many as twenty times a match. The plan has to fit in the bag before the first serve.
    Only in tennis

Changeover fueling in the heat. A match can last 70 minutes or three hours. Carbs and fluids changeover by changeover, adapting to the score and the heat.

No clock, no substitutes, no coach on court at most levels. The plan has to be in the bag and in the player's head before the first serve.

    What it is

A changeover plan per player: what is in each bottle, which changeovers get a carb dose and which get fluids only, scaled to the day's heat index and the player's sweat test. The plan is written for a short match and a long one, so a player who goes to a third set knows what the later changeovers hold. Doubles-then-singles days get a between-matches window sized to the doubles.

    Why it matters in tennis

Tennis is the only team sport on campus with no finish time, played outdoors in spring heat with the longest matches often decided by who is still hydrated. Changeovers are ninety seconds and set breaks two minutes, which is enough to drink to a plan and not enough to invent one. Players who try to work it out on court under-drink and under-eat.

    • 90 sper changeover and 120 seconds between sets. Enough to drink to a plan, not enough to make one.
    • 70 min – 3 his the range of a singles match. The plan is written for both ends.
    • 0.5–2 L/his the range of sweat rates measured across athletes exercising in the heat. The bag is packed to each player's test.

    FAQ

Questions from performance staff. Anything else, email us.

It doesn't need to. The bag is packed for a long match, with changeovers numbered and bottles labelled, and the player has seen the plan before the first serve. The heat and the sweat test set it; the score only decides how far into it the player goes.

The between-matches window after doubles is planned per player from what the doubles cost, with fluids and sodium first and a small carb top-up before singles.

Yes. Weekday practices and travel days are planned around class blocks. Programs inside an athletic department should also look at the college page, which adds a department view across every sport.

We're building first-party connectors for the tools performance staff use most: player tracking and load, sleep and HRV wearables, force plates, body composition, lab results and athlete management systems. On our list: Catapult, Firstbeat, KINEXON, Polar, Sportlogiq, league tracking data, Teamworks, Gatorade Gx, Dexcom, WHOOP, Oura, Hawkin Dynamics, VALD, InBody, Hologic DXA, Kitman Labs, Edge10, LifeLabs, Garmin and Apple Health. None of these are partnerships yet. Tell us your stack when we reach out and we'll prioritise it.

Access follows the role. Dietitians and medical staff see labs and body composition; strength and conditioning sees fueling next to load; coaches see readiness summaries. Players see their own plan in the Lumo app.
