Targets per wrestler and per day type: descent weeks, competition day, post-weigh-in and practice. Lumo turns them into meals, menus and nudges.
Lumo Fit for college wrestling staff
Fueling that shows up in the third period
Lumo Fit turns your dietitian's plan into every meal, through the descent, the weigh-in and the hour before the first whistle, then sets what wrestlers actually ate next to the practice load, hydration tests and sleep data your staff already collects.
Designed for the tools your staff already uses

Every wrestler has a certified weight and a descent plan on paper. What a wrestler actually eats between Monday practice and Friday's scale is a conversation in the hallway.
Lumo Fit gives every wrestler one living fueling plan, carried into the training table and lined up against what happens on the mat.
The safe weight-class plan. Each wrestler's descent to weight at a safe weekly rate, the hydration screen, and the refuel from weigh-in to first whistle.
Making weight is the oldest problem in the sport. The plan starts weeks out, stays inside the rules, and ends with a wrestler who is fed, not drained.
A descent plan per wrestler from the certified minimum weight and the dietitian's targets: a weekly rate inside the rules, daily meals that hit it, and a morning hydration check against the cutoff. Competition day has a refuel timeline from the scale to the first whistle, sized to the wrestler and the time available, with the sodium and fluids first. Coaches see who is on plan; the numbers stay with the dietitian and athletic trainer.
Weight management rules exist because wrestlers used to dehydrate to make weight. The rules cap the weekly loss and require a hydration test at certification, but the week-to-week work of staying on a descent without starving is still done by hand. A wrestler who arrives at the scale dehydrated has an hour to recover what they cut, and rarely does.
- 1.5%of body weight per week is the maximum descent rate under collegiate weight-management rules.
- ≤ 1.020urine specific gravity is the hydration cutoff at weight certification. Lumo runs the same check every morning.
- 5%body fat is the minimum used to set a male wrestler's lowest allowed weight class; 12% for women.
Rules summarised from the collegiate weight-management program as we understand it; your compliance office and athletic trainers have the final word. Your dietitian sets each wrestler's actual plan.

Dual vs Granite Falls
It's 16:20 on a Friday, the official weigh-in at 18:00 and the first whistle at 19:00. Step into the shoes of the team dietitian with ten wrestlers to bring to the scale and refuel after it.
- Flip through the full roster and each wrestler's descent and refuel
- Switch roles: dietitian, S&C, athletic trainer or coach
- Explore how the descent and the refuel correlate with third-period scoring

Every wrestler at a glance

The descent line, this morning's hydration check and the refuel plan, laid out around the wrestler, with a fuel plan score: how this week's intake tracks the plan your dietitian set, 0 to 100.

See what fueling moves

Days on the descent line against practice output. Morning hydration results against first-match takedown rate. Refuel carbs after weigh-in against third-period scoring. Lumo lines intake up with the data you already collect and shows how strong each relationship is, with the sample size next to it, so your staff draws the conclusion.
The whole roster, one screen

Who is above their descent line this week, who failed the morning hydration check, who needs the biggest refuel after the scale. Coaches get readiness; weights and labs stay with the dietitian and athletic trainer.
Menus the chef can cook from

Training-table portions per wrestler on the descent, the refuel kit for the scale and hotel orders for tournament weekends, all calculated from each wrestler's targets. Wrestlers see their plate in the Lumo app.

Questions from performance staff. Anything else, email us.
No. The certified minimum weight and the official descent plan stay with your athletic trainers and compliance office. Lumo carries the dietitian's day-to-day plan that keeps a wrestler on that line, and shows the morning hydration check against the same cutoff.
No. The plan is built on food and a safe weekly rate. A failed hydration check pauses the descent for that day and tells the dietitian, not the wrestler, what to change.
Yes. The same plan runs with the women's minimum body-fat rule, and programs inside an athletic department should also look at the college page, which adds a department view across every sport.
Lumo for college wrestling programs. It turns the dietitian's fueling plan into meals, menus and nudges for wrestlers and the team kitchen, and lines intake up with the performance, sleep and medical data your staff already collects.
We're building first-party connectors for the tools performance staff use most: wrestler tracking and load, sleep and HRV wearables, force plates, body composition, lab results and athlete management systems. On our list: Catapult, Firstbeat, KINEXON, Polar, Sportlogiq, league tracking data, Teamworks, Gatorade Gx, Dexcom, WHOOP, Oura, Hawkin Dynamics, VALD, InBody, Hologic DXA, Kitman Labs, Edge10, LifeLabs, Garmin and Apple Health. None of these are partnerships yet. Tell us your stack when we reach out and we'll prioritise it.
Access follows the role. Dietitians and medical staff see labs and body composition; strength and conditioning sees fueling next to load; coaches see readiness summaries. Wrestlers see their own plan in the Lumo app.
No. Your dietitian sets the targets and approves the plan. Lumo carries it into every meal, on the road too, and brings the signal back before it becomes a problem.
No. The team, the wrestlers and every number in the demo are fictional, generated for illustration. Wrestler portraits are AI-generated and do not depict real people. When we work with a team, we build their preview on their own roster, privately.
